Paneer ka Cheela (Protein Rich Food For Vegetarians)

Ingredients:

For Batter
  • ½ cup besan
  • ¼ cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp each red chilli, dry coriander and turmeric powder
  • Water to make batter
  • Salt, to taste

For the filling

  • ¼ cup grated paneer
  • ½ small tomato, finely chopped
  • ½ small onion, finely chopped
  • ½ green chilli, finely chopped
  • A handful of fresh coriander, chopped

Procedure:

Mix all the ingredients for the batter with water to form a batter of thicker, pouring consistency.

To prepare the cheelas, heat 1 tbsp oil in a non-stick frying pan.

Pour a ladle of batter and roll it around to spread it evenly. Cook on reduced heat.

When almost done, spread a tablespoonful of the paneer filling on the pancake.

Turn it over and cook on the other side till done.

Serve hot with green chutney.

This dish contains 6g of protein.
